Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- A coalition of political parties, including the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), United National Party (UNP), and the National Freedom Front (NFF), have declared plans to initiate a nationwide joint campaign.

The campaign is set to commence with a large-scale rally in Nugegoda on November 21.

The combined opposition groups stated their intention to hold further rallies across the country.

They drew a parallel between their unity and that of the allies who joined forces against Adolf Hitler during World War II.
