Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- Japan provided grant assistance of 282 million Japanese yen, valued at approximately 591 million rupees, to Sri Lanka for the Human Resource Development Scholarship project.

The primary objective of the project entails providing postgraduate training to young public sector administrative officers from Sri Lanka across various universities in Japan.

This initiative develops the knowledge and skills necessary to shape officers into future national leaders within their respective fields.

Fifteen public sector officers will travel to Japan to follow two-year master's degree courses commencing in 2027.
