Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- The overall rate of inflation, as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index, increased to 1.5 % in September this year.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, this is a 0.4% increase compared to 1.2% recorded in August.
Food inflation climbed to 2.9% in September, up from 2% in August, while non-food inflation eased slightly to 0.7% in September, from 0.8% in August.
