Sri Lanka, March 10 -- Indictments were served today (10) at the Homagama High Court regarding a case filed under money laundering charges involving the deposit of Rs. 17 million into a private bank account belonging to Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the youngest son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Homagama High Court Judge Krishanthi Amaratunga ordered the release of the defendant, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, on two cash bails of Rs. 200,000 each and two personal bails of Rs. 5 million each.
Additionally, a foreign travel ban was imposed starting March 19, and the court ordered him to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department on the first and third Sunday of every month.
