Sri Lanka, Oct. 24 -- The Police Narcotics Bureau has confirmed that the substances found in ten sacks and eleven travel bags discovered this morning (24) in the Naotunna coastal area of Talalla, Matara, are crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, and heroin.

The consignment was discovered during a special joint search operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Coast Guard.

Police say further investigations into the drug consignment are underway.
