SriLanka, April 6 -- HNB Assurance PLC has officially changed its name to HNB Life PLC with effect from April 6, 2026, the company announced in a corporate disclosure to the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The name change has been affected in accordance with Section 8 of the Listing Rules of the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The company also confirmed that a certified copy of the Certificate of Incorporation, issued by the Registrar General of Companies under Section 8(3)(b) of the Companies Act No. 07 of 2007 (as amended), has been submitted.

The rebranding marks a strategic shift in the company's identity, aligning its corporate name more closely with its core life insurance business.
