Sri Lanka, May 16 -- Hiru Media Network won numerous awards at the Business World International Awards 2026 ceremony held at the Mount Lavinia Hotel premises in Colombo tonight (16).

Hiru TV secured the award for the Most Popular TV Channel of the year, while Hiru News won the award for the Most Popular News Provider of the Year.

"Hiru Star" won the Most Popular TV Programme of the Year, and "Paata Kurullo" on Hiru TV won the Most Popular Teledrama of the Year.

"Salakuna" on Hiru TV secured the award for the Most Popular Political Programme of the Year.

Meanwhile, "Paththare Visthare" on Hiru TV won the Most Popular TV Morning Programme of the Year.
