Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr Nalinda Jayatissa held a meeting with the new Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Wei Huaxiang, at the Ministry of Mass Media yesterday (29).

The Ministry of Health announced that this marks the first official meeting between the ambassador and the minister since Wei Huaxiang assumed duties as China's envoy to the country.

During the discussion, the minister expressed special appreciation for the long-standing bilateral friendship and cooperation shared between the two nations. He extended his gratitude for the Chinese government's continued and generous contributions toward the advancement of Sri Lanka's health sector.
