Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- Hatton Police urged motorists to drive with caution on the Hatton to Nuwara Eliya and Hatton to Colombo main roads due to the risk of earth slips caused by continuous rain.

Traffic operations on the Hatton to Colombo main road at Quill Estate, which were disrupted after an earth mound collapsed yesterday afternoon amidst heavy rain, have now been restored.

Meanwhile, two spill gates each at the Maskeliya Reservoir and the Upper Kotmale Reservoir were opened.

Engineers in charge of the reservoirs stated that two spill gates at the Canyon Reservoir and three spill gates at the Laxapana Reservoir were also opened.
