Sri Lanka, Oct. 23 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has arrested a GPS Technical Manager of a private company in Polonnaruwa for impersonating a CIABOC official and attempting to influence government officers in their official duties.
The suspect, who had created a forged CIABOC identity card, used it to pose as a Commission officer and interfere in the work of public officials.
He was arrested yesterday (22) on the Polonnaruwa main road following a raid conducted on confidential information received by CIABOC.
The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate's Court.
