Sri Lanka, Aug. 2 -- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, has stated that a number of steps have already been taken to increase employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in Japan, South Korea, and Israel.
He made this statement yesterday (1) at a ceremony marking the establishment of several divisions of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, or SLBFE, in a new office complex.
The Deputy Minister also said that with the new government's commitment to avoiding political interference in various sectors, several developed nations have been impressed and are now opening up new job opportunities for Sri Lankan workers.
