Sri Lanka, Aug. 9 -- The Government is processing constitutional amendments to increase the retirement age of the judges, leaving aside the burning issues faced by the people, and it has become the biggest national priority of the Government today, said Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

He pointed out that the Government is focused on such issues, instead of providing the fertiliser subsidy, rehabilitating irrigation systems, or finding solutions to the problems existing in prisons.

The Opposition Leader expressed his views participating in the ceremony to establish the Ruwanwella branch of the Samagi Vanitha Bala Mandalaya.
