Sri Lanka, Oct. 11 -- The government is reportedly focusing on bringing a privilege motion against Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Member of Parliament Nizam Kariapper in Parliament.

The government has accused MP Kariapper of violating parliamentary privileges by allegedly disclosing a statement made by the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security before the Committee on High Posts in Parliament.

Ministers Vijitha Herath and Wasantha Samarasinghe, commenting on the matter, stated that the MP has violated parliamentary privileges and that action should be taken regarding the incident.
