Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- The Government Analyst's Department has confirmed that a stock of chemicals found in Middeniya contains substances used to produce methamphetamine.

The report was handed over to the police, who discovered two containers of the chemicals on a property in the Thorayaaya area of Middeniya following information from a suspect named Bako Saman, who was arrested in Indonesia.

Investigations have revealed that a portion of the chemicals was moved to a location in Nuwara Eliya, where 'Ice' is suspected to be manufactured.

They were then reportedly moved to Hambantota, Godagama, and finally to Kandana.
