GMOA calls for changes to proposed dog vaccination bill
Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- Certain clauses within the proposed dog vaccination and registration bill pose obstacles to the ongoing rabies control project, according to the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA).
Dr Prasad Colombage, a member of the central committee of the association, stated that at a time when the country is close to achieving its targets for eradicating rabies, authorities must pay careful attention to these clauses and implement necessary amendments.
