Sri Lanka, Feb. 27 -- Residents of Gampola town held a protest today (27), marking three months since the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, claiming they have yet to receive any government relief.

The demonstration was organised by the Gampola Youth Traders Association and local citizens in front of the Gampola Railway Station.

Protesters emphasised that Gampola was one of the hardest-hit areas during the cyclone, yet there has been no significant government intervention to rebuild the town even three months later.

They expressed frustration over the lack of promised subsidies and financial aid, accusing the current administration of neglecting the affected communities.
