Sri Lanka, Sept. 26 -- The bodies of the three foreign monks who passed away in the cable-operated rail cart accident at the Na Uyana Aranya Senasanaya have been placed in a funeral parlour in Borella, awaiting repatriation to their home countries.

The remains of the Russian national, Ven. Dhammarakkhita Thera, the Romanian national, Ven. Dhammaransi Thera, and the Indian national, Ven. Dhammagavesi Thera, are currently being kept there for Sri Lankans to pay their final respects.

The government is intervening to complete the necessary visa and legal formalities before the bodies are sent via the respective embassies in Sri Lanka.
