Sri Lanka, Sept. 12 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that instructions have been issued to relevant authorities not to recall the funds allocated to the Paddy Marketing Board for purchasing paddy back to the General Treasury.

He made these remarks while addressing a farmers' rally held in Polonnaruwa today (12).

Additionally, the President mentioned that steps will be taken to continuously provide the Rs.30,000 fertiliser subsidy to farmers during the upcoming Maha season as well.
