Fuel distribution restrictions cause hardship for filling station owners
Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- Not only the general public, but also numerous filling stations suffer due to foreign companies restricting fuel distribution, Petroleum Station Owners' Association Chairman Kumara Rajapaksa states.
Every filling station incurs a monthly operating cost, and maintaining them becomes difficult due to the non-receipt of fuel, the association points out.
Petroleum Station Owners' Association Chairman Kumara Rajapaksa mentioned this while participating in a media conference held to raise awareness of the current situation.
Paying salaries to filling station employees becomes difficult as a result, leading the association to request the government to resolve the existing issue as quickly as possible.
