Sri Lanka, Aug. 23 -- Two people have been injured in a four-vehicle collision that occurred on the Southern Expressway between Ambalangoda and Godagama early this morning.

A bus conductor and a passenger were among the injured.

The incident began when a bus travelling towards Colombo hit the back of a cement lorry heading towards Godagama.

The impact caused a large quantity of cement bags to fall onto the road.

Following this, a car and a van approaching from behind also collided with each other after running into the spilled cement.

According to the Expressway Traffic Police, the cement dust created a thick haze, causing significant disruption to traffic flow.
