Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- Police stated that four people were killed in fatal road collisions across the island yesterday (24).

A 59-year-old man from Pallepola was killed when his motorcycle collided with a lorry on the Pallepola-Koholanwala road in the Mahawela police division.

The lorry driver was arrested, and Mahawela Police are investigating.

A 33-year-old police constable from Warakapola was also killed when his motorcycle collided with a tipper truck on the Colombo-Kandy road in Nittambuwa.

The truck driver was also arrested.

In Kalpitiya, a 39-year-old man died after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road in the Palakudawa area.
