Sri Lanka, July 27 -- Four suspects, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the assault on a private bus driver transporting schoolchildren in the Hanthana area of Kandy.

The Police Media Division stated that the suspects were produced before the Kandy Magistrate's Court yesterday(26). The woman was released on bail, while the other three suspects were remanded until tomorrow (28).

The group allegedly assaulted the driver, claiming his bus had collided with a three-wheeler. A video of the assault had circulated on social media.
