Sri Lanka, Feb. 25 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama ordered the release on bail of a former Social Service Officer from the Katana Divisional Secretariat, who was arrested by the Bribery Commission.
The court set two personal bails of Rs. 200,000 each and a cash bail of Rs. 15,000 for the suspect.
These orders followed the suspect's production in court by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
The individual, identified as Kuda Peduru Arachchilage Saman Jayaratne, worked as a Social Service Officer at the Katana Divisional Secretariat.
Investigative officers arrested him yesterday (24) around 12:45 PM.
