Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Former Director of the State Intelligence Service Suresh Sallay, who is being held under detention orders in connection with the Easter Sunday attack investigations, was taken from the National Hospital to the Criminal Investigation Department this evening.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department transferred Sallay from the hospital at around 6:30 PM today. He had been receiving inpatient treatment in Ward 42 of the National Hospital for 119 days.

When the case was called before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today, Additional Solicitor General Dilipa Peiris, appearing for the Attorney General, informed the court that authorities intended to place the suspect back under detention custody.
