Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- The case against former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, currently in remand custody over allegations of misusing state funds during his official tenure, is scheduled to be taken up again tomorrow.

The charges relate to his participation-using public funds-in a university convocation ceremony in London, attended during his return from an official visit to New York, which was linked to his wife's graduation.

On August 22, Colombo Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura ordered the former president to be remanded until August 26, following his arrest by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
