Sri Lanka, Aug. 22 -- Former Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed has expressed his hope that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is currently under arrest, will be granted bail and return home soon.

In a post on his 'X' account, Nasheed stated that he expects the former President to be back at his residence shortly.

The former Maldivian President had served as an advisor to Wickremesinghe during his presidency.
