SriLanka, March 13 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court today (13) ordered the former Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), Dhammika Ranatunga, to appear before the High Court once notices are issued regarding corruption charges filed by the Bribery Commission.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva issued the order after being informed by Bribery Commission officials that indictments were filed against the suspect in the High Court.
The Magistrate also announced that the proceedings previously held at the Magistrate's Court level are now concluded.
The Bribery Commission filed charges concerning the cancellation of three long-term fuel purchase tenders in 2017 and 2018.
