Sri Lanka, Oct. 4 -- The Western Province North Crimes Division has recovered an automatic pistol hidden beneath a grave following the interrogation of suspect Ranjith Kumara, alias 'Konda Ranji', an alleged drug trafficker and organised criminal who was extradited to Sri Lanka after being arrested in Dubai under a Red Notice.

According to police, the suspect pointed out the firearm, which had been cleverly concealed under a grave in the Bollathe public cemetery within the Ganemulla police division.

The weapon was used in the murder of 'Minuwangoda Tokka'.

During questioning, 'Konda Ranji' confessed that the firearm had been handed to him by alleged organised criminal 'Rathgama Vidura' to commit the murder.
