Sri Lanka, Aug. 22 -- A sudden fire that broke out in the Anawilundawa - Mayiyawa Wewa Reserve in Madurankuliya has now been brought under control.

The Air Force Media Unit stated that a Bell 412 helicopter was also used yesterday (21) to douse the fire.

In addition to the Sri Lanka Air Force, officers of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, officers of the Disaster Management Centre, and residents joined to extinguish the fire.
