Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- W.A. Layton de Silva, a retired school principal and father of Parliament's Secretary General Kushani Rohanadeera, has passed away.

He was the beloved husband of retired principal Udula de Silva and the loving father of Upul de Silva, who resides in the US. He was also the father-in-law of Hariguptha Rohanadeera.

The body will be placed at the Jayaratne Respect Funeral Parlour in Colombo 08 from 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, the 21st.

The final rites will be performed on Friday, the 22nd, at 4:00 p.m. following religious ceremonies, with the cremation at 5:30 p.m. at the Borella General Cemetery.
