Sri Lanka, June 11 -- Wife and the legal counsel of former State Intelligence Service Director, Retired Major General Suresh Sallay have requested the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to allow daily visits while he receives treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

The request letters were separately submitted to the CID Director after a court declined to grant permission for such access.

Sallay, who is currently detained in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks investigation, is undergoing medical treatment while remaining in CID custody.
