Sri Lanka, July 30 -- Tax revenue amounting to 141.5 billion rupees was collected and credited to the government by the Department of Excise during the initial half of 2026.

Specific targets designated by the government for the first six months ending June 30, 2026, stood at 119.3 billion rupees out of a total annual goal of 245 billion rupees. Performance yielded a high collection rate reaching 118.6 percent compared against established objectives.
