Sri Lanka, March 16 -- The Commissioner General of Essential Services has announced that Wednesday of every week will be a holiday for several key government sectors.

This special holiday applies to:

Government Offices

Judicial Services

Schools

Universities

However, to ensure the continuous functioning of the country, the following sectors are excluded from this holiday and will remain operational:

Health Services

Ports

Water Supply

Customs
