SriLanka, March 30 -- Electricity tariffs for the second quarter of 2026 underwent revision, as revealed by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) during a press conference held today (30).

The adjustments for the second quarter of 2026 are as follows:

0 - 30 units: Revised by 4.3%, reflecting an increase of Rs. 15.

31 - 60 units: Increased by 6.9%, reflecting a growth of Rs. 45.

61 - 90 units: Increased by 6.9%, reflecting a rise of Rs. 120.

91 - 180 units: Increased by 7.2%, reflecting a rise of Rs. 420.

Above 180 units: Electricity tariffs raised by 25%.

Sector specific increases:

Industries: 8.7%

Hotels: 9.9%

State Institutions: 14.4%

Religious Institutions: No increase for those consuming under 180 units; a 9...
