Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is set to announce its final decision on the electricity tariff revision for the final quarter of this year tomorrow (14), according to the Commission's Director of Communications, Jayanath Herath.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had proposed a 6.8% increase in electricity tariffs for the final quarter, covering the period from October to December of this year.

Herath stated that a public consultation on this proposal was conducted, covering all nine provinces.

He added that the PUCSL's decision regarding how the tariff revision will be implemented will be announced tomorrow, after considering the views and suggestions submitted during the public consultation...
