Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- A 75-year-old man in Polgasowita is believed to have killed his 69-year-old wife, before taking his own life.

The incident occurred at a residence in the Kirigampamunuwa area of Polgasowita, according to police.

At the time of the incident, the couple's daughter and her husband had reportedly left the house to attend a hearing at the Homagama High Court.

The tragic discovery was made when the daughter returned home, after which she alerted the police.

The latest incident follows a similar attempt by the man three months ago, to take his wife's life, according to police.

Authorities revealed that the woman had been partially paralysed for around 10 years, and had been confined to one place for around three months...
