Sri Lanka, April 27 -- A Mobile bakery sales driver died this morning (27) in the Boraluketiya area on the Padukka-Horana road after a mechanical failure led to a head-on collision with a lorry.

Padukka Police reported that a wheel detached from the vehicle while in motion, causing the driver to lose control and veer into the opposite lane.

The victim, identified as a 43-year-old father of three from the Hatharaliyadda area in Kandy, was traveling from Kotigamgoda towards Padukka to sell food items.

Following the sudden detachment of the right-side wheel, the vehicle careened across the road before striking an oncoming lorry.

Although rushed to the Padukka Regional Hospital with severe injuries, he succumbed shortly after admission. ...
