Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- A new digital system for issuing medical certificates required to obtain driving licences will be introduced tomorrow, according to National Institute of Transport Medicine Chairman Professor Clifford Perera.

Under the updated arrangement, applicants can book their medical examination appointments through any telephone network free of charge, with no fees required to reserve a date and time.

The initiative is expected to streamline the process of securing medical certificates and make booking appointments significantly more convenient for applicants.
