Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- Student Dhanosh Theekshana Weerasekara of Ahetuwewa Model Primary School in Kurunegala has secured the highest marks in the island in the Sinhala medium at this year's Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.

He obtained an overall score of 193 marks.

According to the results sheet of this year's examination, the Commissioner General of Examinations has officially confirmed him as the student who scored the highest marks in the Sinhala medium.
