Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nishantha Jayaweera left for Japan to participate in the 15th IMF-Japan High-Level Tax Conference for Asian countries.

The conference is scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, tomorrow (17) and the day after tomorrow (18).

Policymakers, senior tax officials, and numerous international experts will gather for the event, which focuses on tax policy and tax administration in the Asian region.

The forum will offer an opportunity to share experiences on strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation, improving tax administration, and navigating challenges in international taxation.
