Deputy Minister assures timekeepers government will remain until retirement
Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- Deputy Minister of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development Dr Prasanna Gunasena stated that newly appointed timekeepers for the National Transport Commission will remain in service and retire under the current National People's Power administration.
Speaking at the appointment letters awarding event to the newly recruited timekeepers, he highlighted that for the first time in Sri Lanka transportation history, 2 women were also among the new recruits.
The deputy minister noted that the roles of these officers will undergo significant transformation over the next 5 years alongside digitalisation and professional shifts.
The 18 recruits were selected through aptitude tests and interviews from over 2,000 applicants...
