Sri Lanka, July 16 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake instructs to promote Delft, Analaitivu and Nainativu as green energy islands

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake instructed to promote the islands of Delft, Analaitivu and Nainativu as 'Green Energy Islands', focusing on the Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES) projects currently operational on those islands.

The President gave these instructions during the progress review meeting of projects implemented under the 2026 budget allocations for the Ministry of Energy and the 2027 pre-budget discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (15).
