Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- The Sri Lankan government has yet to finalise its stance on a US $ 62 million grant from India intended for the development of the Kankesanthurai Port.
The offer, which aims to boost connectivity between the two nations, includes provisions for a ferry service-one component of which has already begun operating between the northern port and southern India.
The grant was initially offered during the previous administration and subsequently renewed under the current government, led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
