Sri Lanka, July 26 -- A woman died after a tipper truck ran off the road and crashed onto her and her two children on the side of the Dambulla-Matale main road in Kapuwatta.

Dambulla Police said the two children who were seriously injured in the collision were admitted to the Dambulla Hospital.

The woman who died in the collision yesterday (25) afternoon has been identified as D.M. Dilani Arosha, a 46-year-old mother of four residing in Kapuwatta, Dambulla.

Hospital sources said the elder of the two injured children was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Dambulla Hospital and is receiving treatment.

The same sources noted that the other child is receiving treatment in a general ward.
