Sri Lanka, Oct. 11 -- The Ministry of Justice announced that a scheme to install video conferencing technology kits in courtrooms is being implemented to address the prevalent issue of case backlogs.
Under this programme, the Ministry of Justice is set to provide 100 video conferencing technology kits to all Magistrate's Courts and selected District Courts across the island.
These kits will be installed in courtrooms to enable the remote presentation of prison inmates, witnesses, and other relevant parties.
This remote participation capability is expected to significantly streamline court proceedings.
