Sri Lanka, May 18 -- The Colombo High Court ordered the temporary relaxation of the overseas travel ban imposed against Member of Parliament Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, who faces corruption charges.

The defendant Chamara Sampath Dasanayake appeared before the court when the case was called today (18) via a motion.

The lawyer representing the defence requested the court to temporarily relax the travel ban imposed on the defendant, as he needs to undertake an overseas trip.

The court ordered the temporary relaxation of the relevant travel ban after considering the facts presented.
