Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama granted permission today (20) for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to visit the prison and record statements from four suspects, including a businessman, currently in remand for allegedly aiding in the fraudulent theft of nearly Rs. 4 billion from a leading commercial bank's general ledger.

The Magistrate issued the order following a request made by the Computer Crimes Investigation Division of the CID.

The suspects identified for further questioning are Lahiru Harshana, Pathum Kotalawala, Kosala Tharanga, and Mohammed Inhamul Hashan.
