Sri Lanka, April 23 -- A detailed report regarding the alleged fraudulent acquisition of 10 dhal containers worth over Rs. 60 million and the misappropriation of dhal cleaning machinery valued at over Rs. 20 million was ordered by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (23).

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Special Investigation Unit received the directive to conduct the probe and submit findings to the court.

The Magistrate issued this order after the CID presented the progress of an investigation based on a complaint lodged by Manoj Dushyantha Rajaratne, a Sri Lankan director of Bulk Buy Grains (Australia) Pvt Ltd, based in Melbourne.
