Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- Deputy Solicitor General Janaka Bandara informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court to consider and take action regarding whether the court was contemned through the statement made by Wimal Weerawansa at a meeting on 12 September concerning the order issued by the court to Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa on the previous court date.

This was informed to the court while also presenting a CD containing the statement made at that meeting to the court.

The Magistrate who considered those facts ordered the Inspector General of Police to investigate that incident.
