Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- The corruption case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption against former Navy Commander Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda and Yoshitha Rajapaksa was called before the Colombo High Court today (September 17).

Both defendants, who are currently out on bail, appeared before the court during the proceedings.

After considering the submissions presented, the High Court ordered the case to be fixed for a pre-trial conference.

The Bribery Commission filed the case against the two accused on charges of corruption for unlawfully sending Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, for a training course at the Royal Naval College in the United Kingdom despi...
